Gallbladder surgery
It is a surgery performed when there is inflammation of the gallbladder related to gallstones inside, which obstruct the normal flow of bile.
Classic symptoms include:
-
Intense pain under the right rib, which occurs after consuming dairy foods, eggs, or foods high in fat.
-
In some cases, nausea, vomiting and fever occur, frequently requiring hospital care to control the pain.
Once symptoms appear, they are recurrent and will require removal of the gallbladder (cholecystectomy) to avoid complications such as severe infections (acute cholecystitis/cholangitis) that can be fatal.

Surgery: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
It is a minimally invasive surgery in which the gallbladder with the stones is removed through small incisions in the abdomen to achieve an aesthetic result and a faster recovery.
